I'm excited to share this little update with you!
Signing a publishing contract is pretty exciting, mostly because of what it represents and not so much the act of laying ink on paper... although I do enjoy that too.
What does signing a publishing contract represent? I suppose it represents different things to different people so I’ll focus on why I’m excited about it. It feels significant to me because:
Someone else enjoyed my story so much they want to invest time and money into transforming my dream into a book that children can hold in their hands! I hope that they’ll have just as much fun reading it as I did writing it.
Also, I get to work with an editor who helps New York Times Best Selling authors line up their words neatly – how cool is that?
On a more personal note, I guess it also means even though it might seem like an impossible dream to write a story someone else enjoys especially if you’re as bad at spelling, punctuation and grammar as I am but apparently it’s not. Did I mention I’m thrilled to have a fantastic editor working on my story?

Anything can happen when little people dream big.
I’m still dreaming of how super exciting it will be to finally introduce you to the characters I have spent so much time with. I hope you’ll love them because after all these years they are like family to me... a strange family but a family none the less. Still, I can’t spill all the beans just yet but I will post more about my story and maybe more about my writing journey sometime. I’ll add updates about progress on the transformation from manuscript to print books and e-books for middle graders too.
In the meantime, I hope this post will encourage you to dream big no matter how little you are.

PS. I realise I talk a lot about hope, maybe I’ll explain why another day when there are no cats about trying to help me type.
