I threw some lettuce outside for him.
Puss Puss the Wallaby just jumped into the building in a single bound and stared at me! Apparently it is his breakfast time.... I threw some lettuce outside for him. I'm pretty sure he approves. Hopefully now he will stay outside!

I am so excited! I have been getting some excellent feedback about the website and people have been very generous with their ideas and suggestions.
My goal is to make this website interesting and fun for parents, teachers and children. If you have any ideas about what you would like to see here, I would love to hear from you! The experiment was a FAIL! The wheat bix only dried on the top. I might try it again sometime, but if I do I will use less wheat bix.
The wallabies were very happy about the mushy fail though, as soon as I tipped it out on the ground they came over and started eating it. The only problem has they didn't want to share - so there was a lot of growling. It seems the wallaby we call 'Puss Puss' has the most intimidating growl because he is eating the mush while the others watch. We get visits from lot's of different Australian Native Birds every day. Below is a photo I took of a pair of King Parrots who came to visit.

AuthorPersonal blog by RJ Simon. This is where I post random musings and share photos from strolls around the yard, road trips, and life in the Australian bush. I used to post updates about my writing and illustrating here too, but the website now has a updates section especially for that - all the new updates will be posted there.
So if you're looking for book release dates or things like that check the new: updates section. If you're looking for information about Ruby Lane here check the
Ruby Lane page or the Ruby Lane Blog There is also a:
Ruby Lane Facebook Page Again, this is my general blog so if you want to see photos of the little Australian animals that come to visit me, find out what I've been up to in the garden, or read about older works this is the place to look.
I also have a general page on Facebook here: RJ Simon
