As cool weather rolls in, sunset's glow with the new seasons colours. How beautiful it is to stroll around the yard gazing at the clouds through the black lace of tree silhouettes!
Guess what I found in my letterbox?
My very own signed copy of Faylina! I am absolutely thrilled at how beautifully this little book turned out! I'll try to share a better quality photo soon. But for now, I'm off to do more illustrations. Exciting news today! Faylina is back from the printers!
Here are some photos of Faylina with Mr Behan from Butterfly Kiss Books. Congratulations everyone who posted a 'silly selfie' to help support the clown doctors; the Commonwealth Bank will be donating over $240,000 to the Clown Doctors! Faylina's silly selfie - Copyright Butterfly Kiss Books
Here is a photo I took in my yard last year of a wild white sulfa crested cockatoo. He is checking out a birdseed feeder I made from a plastic bottle. I made this feeder with smaller birds in mind. But he didn't seem to mind that he couldn't sit on the stick perch or that his head only just fitted through the opening. Here is a female king parrot enjoying seed from the same feeder. I think she liked it.
The Commonwealth Bank is donating $10 for silly selfies hash tagged #ClowningForKids you can read more about it on the Commonwealth Bank's website *Remember to ask your parent or guardian for permission before posting anything online. Another beautiful rainy night here. Perfect weather for illustrating! This week I've been working on illustrations for DL Redshaw's second book in the Faylina series!
Children's books are worth celebrating, after all, what would the world be like without them? 'Since 1967, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, 2 April, International Children's Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books.' You can read more about it here

So if you're looking for book release dates or things like that check the new: updates section. If you're looking for information about Ruby Lane here check the
